Theoretical and Cyclic Voltammetric Analysis of Asparagine and Glutamine Electrocatalytic Activities for Dopamine Sensing Applications

The molecular dynamics and density functional theory (DFT) can be applied to discriminate electrocatalyst’s electron transfer (ET) properties. It will interesting the ET properties of green electrocatalysts such as amino acids. Here, we have used DFT compare electrocatalytic abilities asparagine glutamine at carbon paste electrode interface. Cyclic voltammetric results reveal that activities aspargine are higher than for dopamine sensing. Dopamine requires less energy bind with when compared glutamine. Additionally, has electron-donating accepting powers. Therefore, a activity glutamine—the ability electrodes detect in commercial injection, obtain satisfactory results. As part work, also studied interaction modified surface using dynamics.
